Located in the Balsamo/Quezaltepec mountain range, Finca San Carlos produces 172 Metric Tons of green coffee per year. The region is used for a number of growing varieties with Cafe Practises and Rainforest Alliance Certifications.

Talnique used to be home to a Pre-Hispanic civilisation, who worshipped the feathered serpent God Quetzalcoat, but is now the site of the Finca San Carlos farm which focuses on environmental sustainability and employee quality of life.

Coffee from this region can have a plethora of different and distinct tastes, due to the volcanic soil and altitude offered by the mountain range. Brewing with beans from Peru quite often presents a coffee with a caramel sweetness, mild acidity and a good body.
